FIELD NOTES
Canon 5D2 full-frame digital capture with 90mm Apo-Lanthar.

The bare hills of Langstone Moor on Dartmoor are typical of the open tracts of the high moor. Extensively grazed by sheep, this is very much an impoverished landscape in biodiversity terms. Even so, the high moor has a stark beauty of its own and I could not resist capturing this scene as a setting sun painted splashes of light over the hills against a sky thick with rain clouds.
