This photograph was made on a very cold day in mid-winter. Conditions at this time of year can be extraordinary as powerful weather fronts blow across the high moor. I could not resist the elemental feel of this scene as late afternoon sunlight burst through the cloud to illuminate the distant hills of Langstone Moor.
