FIELD NOTES
Canon 5D2 full-frame digital capture with 21mm Distagon.
Contrasting colour is always an effective compositional device and I loved the blue and yellow colours of this scene. I was not entirely happy with the placement of the rock in the frame, but the clouds were dissipating and I had no time to refine the image further. I was glad of my large and heavy tripod as there was a strong wind blowing off the sea straight at the camera, preventing me from shielding it with my body as I would otherwise have done.
